Manufacture of Conveyance Systems
The transportation technology systems plant within LNK Group produces a wide range of industrial equipment.
The plant produces hi-tech transportation systems for sea ports, cargo terminals and airports, equipment for primary and advanced timber processing, conveyor systems for the mining industry and electric power stations, domestic and industrial waste recycling, biological fuel production.
The plant has a full production cycle from the design stage to the implementation of the customer's idea in metal. This allows us to implement the produced equipment into the existing industrial technology processes and ensure high quality, reliability and durability.
The plant is capable of solving both technical and technological problems of any degree of complexity and producing state-of-the-art equipment that meets the highest international requirements. It is no coincidence that the plant has joined the ranks of winners in the nomination “The best exporter of the year among medium and large-size Latvian enterprises”, shipping their production mostly to Western Europe and Scandinavian countries, that speaks volumes for the high quality and reliability of our company.
Our unblemished reputation is based on time-proven traditions of designing and manufacturing, which due to technological innovations and close cooperation with the designing and building divisions within the holding, secure a full range of services to our customers.
The plant consists of two production buildings:
- Building of 14,000 sq. m with ceilings of 12 m, equipped with cranes of a hoisting capacity of 10 tons;
- Building of 5,000 sq. m with ceilings of 15 m, equipped with cranes of a hoisting capacity of 30 tons.
The plant dates back to 1946, when the production of equipment for the overland maintenance of civil aviation was launched in Riga. The range of products manufactured here has expanded considerably since then. Today the plant employs 200 people.
What we have there is the most advanced, most precise metal working equipment. During the assembly process plant products are fitted with electric and hydraulic components and equipped with automated control systems. The plant has adopted international quality management system standard ISO 9001:2008, welding process quality management standard ISO3834-2, and factory production control standard EN1090-2.
